Why ESSENTIAL OILS are so expensive?
I wondered why a small vial of essence oil would cost so much. I found that fragrances are extracted from plants and flowers by an elaborate process of compressing or distillation from steaming. It is labour intensive and takes many plants to make small amounts of extract. It is then combined with a carrier oil and bottled. The practice of aroma therapy has been handed down from generations of ancient healers and medical practitioners.
The fragrances are used for aromatherapy and alternative medicines. They help us cope with the emotional stress our daily lives in our busy world. I put a couple of drops of Lavender Oil on my sheets before I put them in the drier and I sleep like a baby.
Our sense of smell from the Sunday barbecue can stimulate our appetites. Some can detect the sense of fear and some from the whiff of perfumes and colognes can stimulate passions of love. Essential oils can help us relax, recover from trauma and help us to be healthy and happy.
